Well
it's been 4 years since we released a recording by Omar, the baddest
blues piano player on the planet. We thought we'd be nice. Sorry,
nice only lasts so long.
Once again, Omar takes on his favorite subject. This time around
we've added some horns, to go along with Omar's creative lyrics
and inventive playing. Except for a couple of tunes, some late night
blues DJ somewhere might even play this. If you're tired of that
same old blues crap, check this one out!

"Featured among the cuts is a mournful
wail called Ms. Julie. The tune smolders with pain and burns
with passion. And it makes several references to Sacramento, including
this gem: 'I met the devil at the Torch Club late one night,
right here in this Sacramento California one-horse country town.'
Granted, it lacks the majesty of New York, New York, but
it's something" - Sacramento Bee |
